Wyze releases affordable Band bracelet and scale

Also wanting to take advantage of the smart health connected fitness boom, Wyze announces the launch of the Wyze Band bracelet and the Wyze Scale smart scale.

To make a place for itself in a very competitive sector, Wyze is banking on a strong integration into its ecosystem and very aggressive prices. In fact, these novelties may surprise, the brand being better known for its health home automation devices than its wearables.

Wyze Band: a fitness tracker with Alexa

Like a fitness-oriented smart health connected bracelet classic, the Band measures some health indicators such as sleep, number of steps taken, and heart rate. However, the device being from Wyze, it can also be used for manage the brand's health home automation devices. We can therefore do without the mobile application on our smartphone. To control all this, we can go through Alexa's voice commands.

At the level of technical sheet, the Wyze Band offers 10 days of autonomy and uses a proprietary USB charger. Meanwhile, the 0.95-inch screen displays an OLED panel with a beautiful resolution of 120 x 240 pixels. Finally, the bracelet is waterproof up to 50 m deep for those who dive or snorkel.

Wyze Scale: an independent smart health connected scale

Like many entry-level scales, the Wyze Scale communicates with a smartphone via Bluetooth. However, the device may save the measurements locally until the user uses the Wyze app nearby on their mobile.

Operating on alkaline batteries, the scale measures the weight and thefat mass index, but also the cardiac frequency. Up to 8 people can use it, the device automatically recognizes an individual according to his measurements. Unfortunately, Alexa is not there, as on the Wyze Band. That said, the scale will be compatible with Apple Health and Google Fit.

Both devices are available today available for pre-order on the manufacturer's site with the first deliveries scheduled for April 7. Unfortunately, the site does not ship not in Europe, and we don't know when these products will arrive on the old continent.
