Much remains to be done to create a weather trust with candidates and voters with electronic voting. Some claim that there is a risk of falsification of the results. Vote by Internet or voting by electronic machine, none of these modes seem foolproof. With the ballot box vote, if the candidates are separated by tiny differences, the paper ballots can be recounted, and they cannot be duplicated.
However, the almost immediate results, the simplified management, the increase in participation … are among the benefits expected from this voting system. Furthermore, electronic voting is not limited to just the political domain, it can be used in the world of work, to ensure the designation of staff representatives, for example. But there is still a long way to go before electronic voting becomes widespread.
