Nowadays, companies connect everything and anything. And what had to happen happened, the first smart health connected stove was born. Two products are fighting for this title of “first smart health connected stove”: SmartyPans and the Pantelligent. In both cases, the idea is the same. As for the date, the two are also similar. The fact is that the first to point the nose at the editorial staff is the Pantelligent. The promise, a pan that accompanies you step by step in your recipes and your cooking to never miss anything again, whether it is overcooked or not enough. Financed by the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, the first copies are more marketed prototypes than finished products as evidenced by several aspects of this product. It is for this reason that we will only assign an overall rating, not representative of the final product, even if it should prove more or less close.

What you will learn
Pantelligent smart health connected stove: design / ergonomics
What you need to know is that the pan is extremely large. A nice advantage when you have a large kitchen, a little less when you live in a small apartment (journalist, it doesn't pay that much). 30.48 centimeters in diameter, it's still impressive. We would have appreciated that there are several sizes to adapt to everyone's needs. When it comes to design, well it's a classic stove. The peculiarity will come from the handle of the machine at the end of which is a small cover that you can remove. Inside are the two AAA batteries that will power your stove. Note also that the device is relatively heavy (1kg).
Pantelligent smart health connected stove: application / use
The principle is attractive and the use turns out to be quite simple. Connect your phone to the pan, select the recipe and you're ready to go. Depending on the meat, the recipe or anything else you want to cook, you will need to fill in some information. For example, for cooking a good steak, you will need to indicate the thickness of the steak, as well as the desired cooking. You will then have the ideal temperature to reach as well as the current temperature. Note that synchronization is fast and efficient, allowing you to better manage the temperature of the smart health connected stove. All the steps are described one by one and you are guided each time in writing and by audio.
And since we are talking about audio, this is the small defect of this application. If all the texts are in English, the voice used is that of Google Translate, which often gives a rather bad audio result. The manner of speaking very chopped with an accent to cut with a knife does not allow to follow the recipe only in this way. The written explanations are much clearer. You will be told if the pan is too hot, too fresh, etc.
So the question on everyone's lips is: "is the meat well cooked? ” One would be tempted to answer: “overall yes“. VSar yes, if the pan incorporates intelligent temperature management and will not hesitate to extend the cooking time if he sees that your smart health connected pan is not hot enough, the adjustments are not precise and are made on forks only 1 minute, very long for red meat. In the end, the result is rather interesting, but deserves better precision. Cooking is a discipline where it is complicated to be precise. A tighter adjustment would therefore have made all of this more accessible. However, overall, the results are correct and people with allergies to cooking will really have to do it on purpose to miss a dish.
And since we're talking about cooking, we're going to dwell a little on the recipes. Pat the moment, about fifty are listed, a little light certainly, but the interest of the object lies mainly in the cooking of the meat. However, as stated above, it should be remembered that this is the first copy out of a range destined to grow. The market for smart health connected stoves is emerging. It is therefore a safe bet that this “Pantelligent” will arrive in France with an improved application and more precise adjustments.
Besides the defect of having only one model to offer, the company's smart health connected stoves are not compatible with induction. It is also not possible to send it to the dishwasher, for obvious reasons of electronic materials and non-stick material. But still, it's a shame.

Pantelligent smart health connected stove: conclusion
To be honest, we weren't expecting much from the Pantelligent smart health connected stove before trying it out. Blow of buzz or true companion of the budding cook, we did not know what to think. And finally, even if it is far from perfect, it has revealed its usefulness. So we blame him for an application that still lacks a bit of content, an audio transcription out of the depths of Google Translate and only one size available, but if the concept appeals to you, we would almost advise you to crack. Almost, because it is a safe bet that a new range will arrive soon (a V2), much more interesting, but also because the price of the machine to cool: 199 dollars in import, excluding shipping costs. Clearly, the ideas are good but not enough to make an extremely convincing product, for the moment.
