We all know about smart door locks. But do you know Locky? It is the smart health smart health connected object that will complete your health home automation panoply; and which I invite you to discover today.
Locky is a small electronic keychain that fits 90% of keys. It is powered by a replaceable lithium battery; with a lifespan of up to 14 months of use.
Thus, once the key is installed in the spring-loaded key ring, it can then be folded back inside the device when it is not in use; and deployed when needed. A 9-axis IMU (inertial measurement unit) then monitors the movement of the device and detects the movements associated with the rotation of the key in a lock.
Using Bluetooth, an integrated microprocessor transmits IMU data to an iOS / Android application on the user's smartphone. Among other things, this allows them to check later if they have considered locking their door. The app also uses the phone’s GPS to determine if the user has left their health home without locking their door.
If several family members with a smartphone each use their Locky keychain to access the health home. Anyone can use the app to see who left the house and when. This feature could let working parents know if their children have returned health home after school.
In addition, if the user unknowingly leaves his key in the lock upon return health home, an audible alarm will sound when the distance between him and the phone exceeds a threshold distance. It is also possible to locate a lost key in the house; using the app to set off this alarm.
If you're interested, Locky is currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign. You can pre-order it from $ 39; half of its future sale price.
