Overlooking Lake Lucerne
The hotel is located at 30 minutes from the small medieval town of Lucerne. The way to the hotel is atypical to say the least, a ferry crossing then you take the hotel’s exclusive funicular. Once you arrive, you will quickly understand why the first owners of the hotel chose this location: the view is simply spectacular. More than 400 meters above Lake Grands-Cantons in Switzerland, the resort opens onto a majestic landscapefar from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Bürgenstock Hotel is a historic establishment dating back to 1903, having hosted big names. Since then, the hotel has been renovated with sophistication while retaining its timeless charm, thanks in particular to certain spaces in the Art Nouveau style. The hotel now hashuge floor-to-ceiling windowsideal for enjoying the panorama from all four corners of the resort.
A warm contemporary design
The design of the rooms and suites of the Bürgenstock Hotel is in line with the other common areas: luxurious, modern, with breathtaking views. The materials used are noble and bring a lot of warmth to the accommodations, making the very cocooning spaces. Note that the interiors are particularly well thought out to highlight the view of the lake and the surrounding area. For example, you can enjoy a comfortable reading corner or a bathtub placed directly in front of a large bay window. We love it!
A huge and spectacular spa
To top it off, The Alpine Spa is just as impressive as the hotel, while the Waldhotel, one of the best fitness centers in Europe, is only a few hundred meters away. The Bürgenstock Hotel spa spans three levels and an impressive total of 10,000 m² interior and exterior spaces. There are 13 treatment rooms and three private spa suites. The infinity pool wraps around two sides of the Alpine Spa and overlooks the stunning Lake Lucerne (or Lake Lucerne). It is heated all year round to 35°C, and just for the pleasure of immersing yourself in it, a visit to the spa is worth it!
The bay windows of the relaxation room overlook an oh so soothing alpine landscape. The parquet floors and the light-coloured oak walls give a warm feeling of well-being.
In the quiet area, you can relax on sun loungers, water beds and sofas in front of a warm fireplace. Next door, in the spa lounge, also with a breathtaking view of the lake, there are rooms to relax around a herbal tea or a fresh fruit juice.
From there, you can continue to the hot and cold baths, a salt bath, and two infrared cabins as well as “nap shells”. There is something for every taste.
Further on is a mixed nudist spa area (from 16 years old) as well as a nudist spa reserved exclusively for women. Both have cold and hot water pools, Jacuzzis, aromatherapy steam baths, saunas and their own relaxation rooms… It has never been so good to be in its simplest form.
Each area also has a Finnish sauna, an ice room and an alpine eco-pool…. In short, you will have understood it, we are here in the Mecca of top-of-the-range wellness equipment.
The treatments are carried out with the cosmetic ranges of La Prairie, which we no longer present, and that of Vinoble Cosmetics, an Austrian brand whose natural products are derived from grapes.
