Is it worth?
The lovely thing about the RecovaPro is the versatility that it offers-at the click of a button you can go from a gentle massage to a serious kneading. It performs similar pain-relieving wonders to a sports massage and, if you need daily care, it is a reasonable investment at just shy of £ 300. You would feel the stress coming out of your sore muscles and you become significantly more relaxed the next day.
I’d definitely recommend having your friend or partner to hand so you can reach all those sore spots. The user manual that it comes with doesn’t offer much advice in terms of technique, but a handy guide that’s definitely worth consulting.
Is there a cheaper alternative?

Athletes have used wearable devices for years to recover from hours of intense practice, allowing them to relax tight muscles and continue to function to their best. For the competitor who frequently finds himself commuting to tournaments, or even the home-based professional who spends hours behind a keyboard, the RecovaPro Lite is a stylish solution to relieve all your muscle aches.
The first thing I noticed about the RecovaPro Lite is its sleek, minimalist design – it almost looks like something you’ll find on Batman’s utility belt. The model I tested was matte black with chrome accents, although you can find the product in pink, blue, and white. All colors come with four attachments (bullet, fork, dish, bullet) for use with different muscle groups, a protective carrying case, magnetic chargers with international adapters, and a leather charging / display mat. However, you won’t need to plug in the massager too often, as you’ll get over 180 minutes of battery life on a single charge.
Like any good percussion massager, RecovaPro Lite allows you to change between five different speed settings. I found myself strictly using the lower three settings, as the latter were just too powerful – and painful – to offer relief. I’m sure many pros will find them useful, but as a former college athlete and current desk jockey, I have found the pain / recovery ratio out of my time.
Despite all the moving parts and the detailed instruction booklet, using the massager is simple. Simply install your favorite accessory by pushing it into the massager, hold the power button to turn it on, hold it again to start it, then press the button to adjust the speeds. When you are done, hold the button one last time and it will turn off. That’s all that can be said about it.
And, although it only weighs around 700 grams, this thing is surprisingly durable. Regardless of how you treat it badly – toss it in suitcases on a trip or toss it in the back of your desk drawer – it will continue to perform like the day you bought it. My only complaint about the build quality comes from the mounting adapter. Every now and then, the attachments seem to get stuck in the massager, requiring a little effort to remove them.
I have never damaged the RecovaPro by deleting an attachment, although the force I have to apply to change them often gives me pause. Is he stuck? Should it be that hard to remove? The answer is always: “No, everything is fine”. But the inconsistencies when removing different attachments will definitely be confusing for a novice user.
All in all, the RecovaPro Lite is a great percussion massager. It’s ideal for relaxing tight muscles all over the body – thanks to a range of unique accessories – is built to last, packs a punch without making a rowdy, and comes in a sleek, minimalist design. The carrying case is also a great touch, as it allows athletes to take it with them on the road as they head to their next tournament. If you can get past the finnicky mounting adapter, there’s a lot to love about RecovaPro’s latest addition to the family.
The verdict
Last year we tested the RecovaPro SE and gave it a 4.6/5, but this massage product has to be bumped to a full five stars with the launch of the brilliant RecovaPro Lite. The modular tech provides something for everyone, whether you opt for the full monty or the sleek pocket-sized version.
