★★★★★  This is the second of this style massager I've bought - I find them really effective but had a few minor niggles with the first so thought I'd try a different brand for my second purchase... I wanted one to keep in the living room for when I get in from work & the other by my bed for when I'm chilling watching TV in the bedroom. This one is fab - the massage balls seem to be made of a different (somewhat softer, more malleable) substance that's still effective but not as brutally harsh (I found myself cringing a bit at the roughness of the previous one, it was sometimes borderline painful). It gives off a lovely gentle heat &, a surprise bonus - I found that it's great for a hand massage (my absolute favourite kind of massage ever); try it - if you rest your arms along the length of it with the palm of your hand over the one set of balls & the length of your arm centered over the other, especially with the heat on- it's bliss! I also love it on my back, I don't have any particular injuries so wouldn't want to vouch for its effectiveness for anything serious but I tend to get a tense knot of muscle in my right lower shoulder blade & once I get this in place (it's useful to wedge it between myself & the sofa) it feels very soothing indeed. I'm very happy I went with my instinct to try this one!

★★★★★ I bought this for my father in law for a Christmas present as he’s been plagued with back ache (has been since an accident many years ago which has been worsened by complex medical conditions). He came hobbling around shortly after almost in tears with the pain. I reminded him to try his massager. That evening, quite late, he phoned which he’s never done. My first thought was his back had required emergency care or something but he was phoning, over the moon, to thank me for getting this for him. His strong prescription painkillers weren’t really helping but this did and he was so happy so I have no choice but to leave a 5 star review.

★★★★★ This product works well, but I find it difficult to hold in place so that massage can begin. I think it would be better if, for those who don't own high back chairs to fix this, if let's say, one could wear this massager on the back or neck area like one would a rucksack. I made my own using velcro strips - a meter length cut in two was enough for me. And I attached them to the original straps, which also are made with velcro.
