★★★★★  I am very impressed with these headphones. They are comfortable, durable, and have good sound quality. All in a very affordable package. I love the simple sleek design with a slight edginess in the form of RGB lighting on the ear-cups, which you can turn off if you’d like. There is plenty of cushion in the ear-cups and headband, and amazing isolation. It might be too much. Someone could break in and I doubt I’d notice till they came in to say hi. While they are comfortable, I found the ear-cups to get a bit warm over long periods of time due to not being a breathable material. That’s what you get for isolation though. The mic on this headset is good. It’s one of the best I’ve heard on these cheaper headsets. It is very clear and easy to hear. You won’t have any issues communicating with friends or teammates. The dongle is nice to have and easy to use. It’s nice to be able to adjust sound volume and mic volume on the fly, as well as be able to mute and un-mute the mic with a switch. The cord could be a bit longer, but I can plug it into my keyboard so no big problem for me. Overall cord length is around 6.5-7 feet. All in all I found this to be one of my personal favorites that I have reviewed and I will definitely be using it in the future.

★★★★★ Most of my headphones are wireless, although my daily drivers are a pair of Bose QC35 (wired in to my workstation when I'm at home). I'd been thinking about something with a microphone for Webex sessions or recording podcasts, and the idea of a USB-based headset was interesting for machines that might not have a combo audio jack.I picked up this headset a couple of weeks ago, and have been using it pretty much daily for almost two weeks. It has met my expectations and will likely see continued regular use in my home, especially when I need a microphone as well as the listening function.The caveats:First, these are not active noise cancelling (ANC) like the QC35 and other ANC headsets. They are effectively noise-isolating though. The ear cuffs are about as thick as a nickel, and as wide, so you get really good ear coverage and it reduces the outside noise, but it does not cancel outside noise. As an aside, they may get a bit warm due to the thick ear cuffs. Might not want to wear them while sunbathing or operating heavy machinery.Second, there's a headset driver for enhanced audio performance. You'd download this from their website if you choose to use it. I had intended to, but I found "Spatial Sound (Windows Sonic for Headphones)" in Windows 10, and have found that to be acceptable for my needs. The default out-of-the-box settings were acceptable, but I got a bit more character out of the music I listen to with the Windows setting. I will probably try the enhanced drivers from Jeecoo sometime, but I haven't felt a loss.And third, although this might seem obvious, I'll mention it. These are USB headphones, with an audio controller built in. This means you can only use them with a computer (or possibly some tablets) with USB. They should work with a USB-C to USB-A adapter. They have no wireless or 3.5mm headphone jack options so if you're looking for a device to move between laptop and desktop and phone and tablet and even television, this isn't it.The out of box experience:These aren't marketed as travel headphones, so instead of a hard case you get a non-woven fabric bag for the headphones. There's a USB cable permanently attached, and it's plug and play. The mic is on the left side and is not reversible. You can put the headphones on backwards but then the mic goes behind you.The cable has a control module about a foot away from the earpiece; it has a clip so you can attach to a shirt or jacket or seat belt if you like. The other controls include a mute switch for the mic, a microphone gain dial, and a volume gain dial. There's also a pushbutton that lights up when you push it - this controls the multicolor LEDs behind the logos on the ears of the headset. I do wish the button did something useful for me, but I can mostly ignore it.I've played a number of my typical audio test tracks from Youtube - the LST 3D Sound Demo is pretty accurate, but not quite as well-separated as my Bose units that cost 10x as much. There's a channel called Movie Man that has one of many audio trailer compilations... I used this to evaluate spatial distribution (for lack of a better term), and I got good left/right range on these, probably more than I would normally expect from a $30 headset. Audio reproduction on HQ music at Youtube quality has been pretty close to the other headphones I use (a mix of wired and wireless from Taotronics, Plantronics, and Bose).(Some tracks I use for character and resolution: Downtown by One 2 Many, When It's Love by Van Halen, FLeur Blanche by Orsten, Asia's Heat of the Moment and Only Time Will Tell, One NIght In Bangkok from the original Chess soundtrack, Turbo Tabla 2 from Bellydance Overdrives, Take Five by Dave Brubeck, and some test tracks including the audiocheck dot net headphone tests.)The microphone is pretty clear even in a mildly noisy environment. I have computer gear, an air cleaner, and some fans in my home office, and recordings I've made have been crisp even without any custom settings.I will note that the over-head part is pretty strong, and I once slapped myself in the temple with one of the ear cuffs before realizing I really wanted to hold on tightly when putting them on.An ANC headset would eliminate more outside noise but likely eat into the clarity of the music as a side-effect. So these are great for use at home, or in a hotel room, but I wouldn't use them on a plane to drown out engine or kid noises.I also tested to see if the audio in the headphones leaked out to interfere with the microphone. Playing a couple of tracks at relatively high volume while talking and recording on Windows Camera app, I did not hear any of the music on the recording.In summary, it's a pretty good PC headphone for $30ish. If you're looking for USB headphones for gaming, video chat, regular music and video viewing, and so forth, these would be a good model to try. If you're wanting to connect to 3.5mm headphone jacks or bluetooth, or if you need active noise cancellation, you won't want these.

★★★★★  I recently got this gaming headset and have been using it every day since! Before having these headphones I used a pair of dollar general headphones that cost twenty dollars (almost just as much), so these were a huge upgrade. For thirty bucks these things work great. They Fit comfortably on your ears, have amazing sound quality, are simple to set up, and so much more that I will list later on.One thing to note is that because of how Xbox controllers are made you will need some sort of adapter to hook it up to one. I tried using it with my Xbox and realized this right away. It kinda sucks but there isn't really a way around it because Xbox controllers have really weird ports. Before I get into all the pros there was one other thing that kind of confused me about the headset. The volume control/mute button are located at least a foot down the cord from the headset. Whenever I am sitting around gaming it takes me a second to find which can be deadly in certain fast-paced games. I am guessing there is some sort of reason for this but I can't figure it out. If something comes to mind I will update this review.Now onto the Pros (there's a lot!)*The gaming headset fits comfortably on my head - this is really important for people who will sit and game for long periods at a time. If they don't fit comfortably I start to get a headache and it completely ruins my gaming fun. This headset has lots of soft foam padding which I love.*Cool RGB lighting - The headset has some simple colorful lighting on the side which adds a bit of extra flair to your setup.*adjustable size - You can adjust the size to make sure it fits your head properly. Personally, I use mine at the smallest size possible, and it works great!*Very easy setup - I have never used it with anything other than my PC, but it was super easy to set up. You literally just plug the 3.5 mm plug into the jack on your pc and start playing. Note: if your laptop/PC has two separate jacks for mic/headphones you will need a splitter in order to use this headset's mic properly. Luckily my PC has one plug so I was able to get it working pretty fast. The USB cable coming from the headset seems to be strictly for lighting purposes, so if you don't want the headset to light up you don't need to plug it in.*Mic quality is pretty good - Normally on cheaper equipment, the mic's will suck, but that's not the case here! The mic worked great.*Simple sound controls - Piggy Backing on the last one the controls for the mic/volume are super simple. All though they are located a bit to far down the cord for my liking, they work and that's what matters. There is a scroll wheel to adjust the volume and a switch to mute/un-mute the mic.There are a lot more little things that I liked like the texture of the sides of the headset, but I don't want to overflow this review with to much of that stuff. Overall I really liked this headset, especially since it is only thirty dollars! A great headset for a great price.
