In Brazil, Burger King turns into SpongeBob’s “Crispy Crab”

In Brazil, the Burger King fast food chain paid tribute to one of the iconic cartoons of the 2000s, SpongeBob SquarePants. For the occasion, the brand has completely revisited some of its restaurants to immerse customers in the heart of Crabe Croustillant, the restaurant run by Mr Crabe in which the little yellow sponge works.
Since October 5, customers have been able to immerse themselves in the funny and original universe of SpongeBob SquarePants. The restaurants feature walls resembling the seabed found in the cartoon, such as Patrick’s house or the fields of jellyfish, but also many decorations reminiscent of the different characters.
The menu has also been revisited to offer three new limited edition products such as sponge potatoes served with a smoked pink sauce, a burger with pink sauce and an ice cream in a nod to Patrick the starfish based vanilla, strawberry coulis and chocolate. They are obviously served in original packaging representing Bob, Patrick and the Crabe Croustillant restaurant.
For those with a sweet tooth, a full menu with all the new products is available from €7. However, it is also possible to buy them separately from 2€. This unusual marketing operation carried out with the Nickelodeon television channel is the perfect opportunity for SpongeBob fans to dive back into childhood and share a timeless moment with friends or family.
And among Burger King’s quirky initiatives, the Argentinian franchise was inspired by La Casa de Papel to invite you to steal Whoppers.
