Huawei Watch GT2e reveals itself with a new look

Huawei has unveiled its new Huawei Watch GT2e. Aside from its trendy new look, it seems to be just a provisional update to the existing GT2.

As we suspected, the Huawei Watch GT2e has a stainless steel case and a slightly retouched design. This tells us that it is aimed at a target sports market. The buttons are always arranged in the same way at 2 and 4 o'clock. The lugs have been smoothed.

The smartwatch offers 100 training modes. From running to swimming to rock climbing and even parkour. We're sure most of these modes will only offer heart rate and calorie data, but at least your workout will be correctly identified.

The technical data sheet shows a battery life of 14 days; like that of the Huawei Watch GT2.

The Huawei Watch GT2e retains the SpO2 sensor for monitoring the GT2's blood oxygen. This gives the Watch GT2e real credibility as a well-being and health watch. Changing blood oxygen is the best way to track sleep and can be a sign of some medical conditions.

As you can see, despite the new design, in terms of specifications, the GT 2e looks very similar to the GT2. Like its predecessor, it has a 1.39 inch screen with an AMOLED display of 454 × 454.

However, the RAM has been increased to 16 GB (from 2 GB only), which allows us to consider a considerable improvement in performance. Finally, the battery remains the same size, 455mAh.

The Huawei Watch GT2e is on sale in Europe for € 199. Due to her problems in the United States, we are not sure if she will be available in that country.
