At a press event in China, Huawei Device gave an outlook on the rest of 2015. As the Chinese manufacturer said in the course of the publication of its quarterly and annual figures, this year the focus will be increasingly on the middle and upper class of smartphones.

At the said press event at the company's headquarters in Shenzhen, Huawei has now also shown a roadmap for 2015. Accordingly, the company plans to launch a smartwatch with Android Wear this year. To date, Huawei has only been represented in the wearable business with the TalkBand B1, which was launched at the previous MWC.

When it comes to smartphones, Huawei wants to establish itself in the high-end area with the Mate and P series. In the medium price range there are the G and Y models as well as the new Honor series. And then there are the X and M series on the tablets. The former should offer a “Big Screen Integrated Experience”, the second an “Outstanding Audio / Visual Experience”. bingo!

According to current rumors, Huawei is to present a compact version of the Ascend Mate 7 at the Mobile World Congress at the beginning of March – so it can be described as a "compact" with a rumored 5.5-inch. An Ascend P8 will then finally see the light of day at a separate event in the course of the second quarter.
