Google Fit is now able to show you calories burned and distance traveled without the need for a smart health connected fitness bracelet.
Google Fit therefore benefits from new algorithms and helps you keep track of the daily calories burned and measures the distance traveled. Of course, Google’s fitness app works best when paired with a smartwatch or bracelet.
However, this is great news for anyone who does not want to acquire a smart health connected product or an additional smart object. To get regular updates on calories and distance, just indicate your gender, height and weight on your profile. Then you have to keep your smartphone with you either each time you move.
You can also use Google Fit during a workout. The application keeps a history of fitness in memory and groups your activity by days, weeks or months. Finally, a new widget and a dial for Android Wear smart watches have been added.
