Unboxing of Parrot Disco

Once you've set up your smartphone on the controller and smart health connected the app with the drone, you literally just have to start and launch it and it will go off on its own.

Once in flight, the aircraft will gain altitude and begin to circle in the sky. Only from this moment, you will be able to fly it, which avoids the stress of a failed take-off for a beginner.

Piloting the drone in flight is also very easy, the joysticks on the joystick offer simple and effective controls. In fact, unlike a quadcopter, the drone flies straight and cannot hover. To make it less stressful for beginners, you can make Parrot Disco make circles by turning the left joystick to the left or right. For more experienced pilots, the most interesting will be the capabilities of the drone, which can reach 80 km / h and fly for 45 minutes. The sensations are excellent and the piloting of an airplane is much more satisfying than that of a quadcopter.. We get caught up in the game quickly by trying to make maneuvers or by pushing the drone to the maximum of its capacities. Even a beginner can quickly take the ace of aces thanks to efficient assisted steering without being intrusive.

The Parrot Disco facing the competition

On paper, the Parrot Disco has it all : original, light, solid, both easy to access and capable of providing very good flying sensations. But there is one but: its price. It will cost you, in effect, € 1,300. So it's not a mini drone, like the Airborne Cargo, to amuse children and play with the dog. It is rather made for people really looking to live a piloting experience while being an amateur.

Its price greatly exceeds that of other wings on the market mainly, because it can go much faster and last much longer. We must not forget the integrated FPV helmet, as well as all the features such as assisted flight, the ability to return to the starting point, the HD camera.

We found its price reasonable compared to what it offers. However, it will mostly depend on how you want to use it. For ehealth, a quadcopter like the Bebob 2 will surely be more suitable, because it is more controllable. But if you like speed and driving, you can't go wrong.
