[Flash] Two new action cameras for Garmin

Faced with GoPro’s monopoly on the action camera market, competition must innovate. This is the case of Garmin which unveils a new generation comprising two cameras, the VIRB X and the VIRB XE.

VIRB X produces images in 1080p at 30 frames per second and 60 frames per second in 720p With a slow motion and zoom option, the VIRB XE can record in 1440p at 30 frames per second and 60 frames per second at 720p with super slow motion, image stabilization and multiple zoom levels.

Both are waterproof to 50 meters without the use of waterproofing boxes with an integrated WiFi system allowing connection to mobile devices and live ehealth streaming. In addition, ehealth editing software, VIRB Edit is included and automatically generates videos. New microphone and Bluetooth connectivity will be available for availability during the summer for 2025.
