[Flash] Drones in the medical emergency department

Drones have very often benefited and still benefit from a relatively negative image with the general public. Espionage, army, danger, used to shoot down enemies, such is the collective imagination that tends to represent a drone. But like any technology it is the purpose for which it is used that makes its image, and at Google, it’s obviously a positive image that we want to establish drones.

Patent in support, the company of the Moutain View would be working on drones that could save lives such as firefighters or ambulances. In a road accident, minutes are very often essential for victims in critical condition. The time that emergency services can take to deploy plays an important role in the recovery of casualties.

10, 15, 20 minutes, are the durations that Google through this project aims to reduce, by proposing by airway first aid kits. These drones could also offer simple guides or even the establishment of calls with medical personnel, which can allow a person on the scene to make the first gestures. A spokesperson for the firm, however, wishes to recall that this idea is still at an embryonic stage and that no materialization is guaranteed.
