First teaser: Samsung is working on a round smartwatch

Samsung apparently joins the trend of smartwatches with a round display – and this will probably get the in-house Exynos processor. On the SoC division's Twitter channel, SamsungExynos, an image has been published showing a heart rate chart – inside a round surface.

The accompanying text says: "Using your Heart-Rate, your Exynos-powered #wearable can deliver accurate training information to help you improve" – for example: With the support of your heartbeat, your Wearable with Exynos processor can provide precise training information that Help you to improve yourself.

The teasered product is probably the Gear A, the existence of which has caused a sensation on the Internet for some time. Samsung itself already offers a for the smartwatch SDK with which developers can already prepare apps that are adapted to the round display.

There is a special feature of the software: While the "round competition" apart from LG's Watch Urbane LTE (with webOS / hands-on ehealth) only sits on Android Wear, the new Gear A from Samsung should probably run with Tizen – just like also Samsung's Gear S. The Gear A is expected to be presented at the IFA in September.
