Here is a selection of plants that are found in some Chinese grocery stores and whose use is twofold: medicinal and food.
They are however used for curative purposes.
Note: These products have powerful therapeutic actions.

BAI HE (Lys)
Lilium brownii

GOU QI ZI (Medlar Fruit)
Fructus Lycii
GOU QI ZI is a small red fruit that nourishes the blood and Yin. soft, neutral, it enters the meridians of liver and Reins.Il works a lot for the elderly, when the Yin is declining.
This fruit is particularly used in visual disorders by vacuum Jing and blood with signs such as:

Its name means “black hair”. This is one of the few plants that tones the “jing” (with SHU HUANG DI) and prevents many signs of vieillisssement (such as the appearance of gray hair, baldness, weak loins ..). it also lowers cholesterol and prevents the hardening of the arteries.

HUANG QI (Astragalus)
Radix Astragali
The Astragalus root is one of the greatest tonic in Chinese pharmacopoeia. It has a special affinity to the Lungs and Spleen. Sweet, slightly warm, it very effective in stimulating defensive energy (for people who catch colds repeatedly example).
It is one of the major plants in case of collapse of Qi (shortness of breath at the slightest effort, spontaneous sweating at the slightest effort, fatigue, nervousness, proplapsus organ, edema …)
