Bluefin Fitness vibration plate review

I had looked around a little on the “vibration plate market” and quickly came across the Bluefin Fitness vibration plate.
… quite a lot of positive customer reviews and pretty big tones that the manufacturer spits again.
So I just decided to have the Bluefin vibration plate delivered to my own four walls and to hold my next “vibration training experiment” on it.

Whether the model could convince me how effective my vibration training was on it and where there was something to complain about – you will find out all this from me right now:

Below you will find the Bluefin Fitness vibration plate at the current low price. With one click, you can immediately display the current price and see the testimonials of other customers:

Scope of delivery – what was included?

Less than 2 days later I was allowed to open the package full of anticipation and look at the contents.

Unboxing

When I dug everything out of the package, the following was in front of me:

Bluefin Fitness vibration plate
Remote control (uses 2 AAA batteries that I had flying around at home)
2 x training bands
Exercise poster
Training booklet
Nutritional booklet
English manual

Wow, it works! – You would want such a scope of delivery for a good vibration plate.

Some manufacturers can really learn from this. I already had a few models in the test where the scope of delivery was rather “puny”.

I definitely cannot say that about this model.

Especially the exercise poster, training booklet and nutrition booklet were really nice extras. You can tell that the manufacturer has given serious thought to the customer.

After all, it is much easier to get started in vibration training with such an exercise poster or training booklet.

The dozen of training exercises explained are very helpful, especially for beginners. So you can imitate the exercises 1: 1 right from the start and “train properly” right away.

And because training is only half the battle, you should also take a look at the nutrition booklet. I found quite a few healthy dishes there that are actually very quick to prepare.

My first impression

When I had the Bluefin vibration plate in front of me, I was able to get the first impression.

I have to honestly say that the black plastic in combination with the rubber mat didn’t seem quite as robust to me.

Or maybe that was just my perception.

In any case, the manufacturer promises that this model should be super robust. It should be designed up to 150kg.

… A load capacity of 150 kg is really a number.
I had been allowed to test quite a few models so far, but only at least the ones were designed up to 150kg.
Even premium models were mostly designed up to just 130kg.

Otherwise, I think that the model actually makes a very slim and stylish impression.

This is how the training works

I could choose between the 5 pre-programmed training programs or the manual mode.

The 5 preprogrammed training programs:

No matter which program I chose, it took a total of 10 minutes.
The training interval was already given to me. The vibration plate basically alternates between light and intense vibrations during training.

In addition, each program had its own level of difficulty & training effect:

»P1

The first training program was super easy. It is very suitable for warming up before the actual training. I could just as easily use it to recover after training.

»P2

The next training program was much more intense and was intended for cellulite reduction.

»P3

I actually enjoyed using the third program. The training on this was pretty moderate and I could already feel it in my muscles.

»P4 / P5

These are very intensive training programs, some of which even run on the highest vibration level.
Even for me, training on one of these training programs was quite sweaty and very intense in the muscles. I felt that especially in my legs, buttocks, back and bottom. I wouldn’t recommend it to a beginner in any case.

»Manual program

In manual mode, I was able to determine the training time and vibration level myself.

The training time I could between 8-20 minutes set and the vibration level between 1-180 set.

Personally, I actually only use the manual training program for stretching / relaxation training at the end of my workout.

Vibration levels

180 vibration levels are quite a number. Especially when training at levels 160-180 you can literally notice how the muscles are “shaken up”.

Using the remote control, I was able to jump to level 60, 120 or 180 using the quick selection function.

Personally, I thought that was pretty good because I would have found it quite annoying to have to select each of these levels individually.

Training zones

Regardless of the training program or vibration level, you can vary the intensity via the training zone.

»Inner training zone

For example, if you stand tightly on the plate, you train on weaker vibrations. The intensity is comparable to “walking”.

»Middle training zone

With a shoulder width stand, the vibrations are much stronger. One also likes to compare it to “jogging”.

»Outer training zone

If you put your feet almost completely on the edge of the vibration plate, the vibrations in the muscles are greatest. With this, the training effect is logically most effective.
Manufacturers often compare this training zone with “sprinting”.

Ease of use & control

The LCD display is actually quite compact. It’s not exactly big, but still clear.

I was able to watch the whole training over the training time, vibration level and even my pulse. I was able to make all training settings using the “soft touch buttons”.

… but why should I when I can do it much more conveniently with the remote control?

As with every model, I of course also received a remote control with the Bluefin vibration plate. This enabled me to make all the settings during training without interrupting my training or having to bend over the device.

I would have preferred a wristband remote control, but that’s mostly only available on premium models. Nevertheless, thanks to its oval shape, the remote control was still very comfortable to hold.

Music fun while training

What I also noticed very positively are the integrated Bluetooth speakers. When you switch on the Bluefin Fitness vibration plate, you will hear an “annoying” announcement from the Bluetooth speaker, but that was over right away.

I could easily grab my phone and then pair it with the bluetooth speakers.

I think the sound of the speakers is “okay”. Now it wasn’t anything that knocked my socks off.

You just don’t have any bass, but at least the sound quality was good.

Nice and quiet in operation

During my training, the Bluefin vibration plate was surprisingly quiet. This is how I wish for a good vibration plate.

I already had one or the other model that didn’t work at all. They were just loud and the “hum” went to your head.

In any case, that cannot be said of this model. The vibrations really didn’t bother me at all. At most it hums a little, but it wasn’t loud.

I could even train for it in the evening without robbing my neighbors of the last nerve. (Even though I live in a rented apartment.)

There is power behind this device

The Bluefin Fitness vibration plate is equipped with a quiet but powerful 1000 watt motor.
(I have often read of that this model is “supposedly” equipped with a 2000 watt motor – but that is totally nonsense. A look at the manual reveals that it is actually 1000 watts.)

Bluefin even gives a lifetime guarantee on the new, improved motor!

A big plus point clearly goes to the manufacturer. The statutory 2-year guarantee applies to most engines. Only for premium models do you get a 5-year guarantee from time to time.

But I had never seen a lifetime guarantee for the motor with any vibration plate.

… the manufacturer seems to be really convinced of the top quality of its engine.

Frequencies

Perhaps it is also very interesting to know that the frequency range is between 50-60 Hertz. Which are great for intense shocks that lead to muscle building.

For stretching / massage exercises, I would actually prefer much lower frequencies.

The vibrations

This vibration plate works with the so-called oscillation technology (also called side-alternating vibrations).

The vibrations direct the vibrations into the body and stimulate almost all muscle groups. This ensures up to 50 muscle contractions per second, as our muscles have to work against the vibrations.

This forces the stomach, back and pelvic muscles to work together. That increases the overall energy and strength. This is noticeable even after a few weeks, when suddenly everyday physical tasks become a lot easier.

How mobile is she?

The manufacturer promises “ultra flat” design. But that is relative. I already had quite a few other models that were even more compact.

Nonetheless, with the dimensions 40cm x 68cm x 15cm, I was actually able to store it in my home to save space.

With a height of 15cm, this model also fits under my bed.

There is also a kind of “roller” on the underside. This enabled me to easily pull the vibration plate behind me and move it to the next room without having to lift it.

Allegedly this model should weigh 19kg. According to my scales, it was ironically just 15kg.

Summary

The Bluefin vibration plate is a super powerful model with enough training variety. I particularly like the many vibration levels and different training programs.
