Peak com Basis is a physical activity tracker that prides itself on being a smart health connected watch. At least, not immediately: it will wait a little longer before unlocking the full potential.
Intel, which bought Basis a few weeks ago, will offer a download firmware update of the Peak around mid December, a small Christmas gift welcome to the owners of the object.
The new software will open new horizons for the Peak, which will be able to connect to Android smartphones and iPhone to display on its eink screen notifications of all kinds: text messages, incoming calls, appointments, status of networks social.
While waiting for the update, Basis already offers users to share their heart rates with third-party applications. In addition, the Peak will open up to new markets, notably Great Britain and Canada.
