Should the Apple Watch bless the time after the warranty expires, a repair will be expensive. Replacing the battery also costs Apple a lot. The company has now published prices for services on the smartwatch on the German website.
For the replacement of the battery, Apple estimates 96.90 euros including shipping costs. However, the battery will only be replaced if, according to the Apple diagnostic Review, the capacity is less than 80 percent of the original charge capacity. If a defective Apple Watch is to be made functional again, the owner must pay at least 260 euros.
The "cost of service outside the guarantee" for the Apple Watch Sport is 260.90 euros with a new price of the device from 399 euros. With the Apple Watch, the new price here is at least 649 euros, Apple wants 360.90 euros for a repair. And – who would have thought – the luxury version Apple Watch Edition (available from 11,000 euros) will be really expensive: 3049 euros will cost a repair. After all, the shipping costs are included.
An AppleCare + warranty extension can be really worthwhile with the Smartwatch from Cupertino. The fun costs 65 euros for the cheapest watch, 89 euros for the standard version and a whopping 2000 euros for the Apple Watch Edition. In the event of damage (in the event of "accidental damage"), however, a service fee will be charged: 65 euros for the Apple Watch Sport, 75 euros for the Apple Watch and 950 euros for the Apple Watch Edition. You can have the device repaired twice in the first two years after purchase.
