Le Mélézin is the only French hotel of Aman Resorts, which is often considered thehas the finest collection of hotels in the world. Located in Courchevel, it is the ideal compromise for those who wish to experience winter holidays in a Japanese atmosphere without leaving France! The hotel stands out from its local competition by the quality of its wellness offer.

The height of refinement in the heart of the Alps
Le Mélézin is located at the foot of the Courchevel slopes, and it is therefore above all aimed at ski and winter sports enthusiasts who want to take advantage of the immense expanse of Three Valleys. The famous French resort has no shortage of prestigious establishments. Where Aman particularly stands out is in its minimalist interior architecture and refined inspired by Japan and by its care of Asian tradition.

Spread over 4 floors, the Mélézin offers spectacular views of the Alps. The luxury hotel includes 31 rooms and suites, designed by interior designer Ed Tuttle, to whom we owe the Aman style, here combined with the alpine spirit of a chalet. Subtle mix of genres. Note that some suites have their private Norwegian bath on an outdoor terrace.

The hotel welcomes customers looking for refinement and a cozy atmosphere. The service is exceptional at Aman, and it seems that even the smallest wish can be granted.

The après-ski is particularly neat: open fires in the lounge, selection of books in a cozy library, warm atmosphere in the bar, and of course, an exceptional spa.
A resolutely zen wellness area
Proof of the Aman brand’s commitment to well-being, the rooms dedicated to wellness occupy an entire floor of the establishment. The spa has five treatment rooms, a Thai massage room, and a state-of-the-art fitness room with bicycles and treadmills. These facilities are complemented by a wooden sauna, a hammam and a simply beautiful japanese style yoga room. In the basement, there is a beautiful swimming pool 14 meters long surrounded by two jacuzzis.

The treatments are mainly inspired by Asian traditions, and the therapists invite guests to practice meditation beforehand to better enjoy the massages. Mélézin signature treatmentwhich combines lymphatic brushing, oil massage and nourishing facials, has been specially designed to relax the body after a long day on the slopes.

The icing on the cake: Daily yoga sessions are offered in one-hour group lessons, with posture sequences specially developed to relax the muscles of tired skiers, or to warm up before putting on the skis. There is also the possibility of taking private lessons.
Japanese gourmet cuisine, mostly healthy
In a sober and neat mountain-chic setting, the Nama restaurant offers a cuisine 100% Japanese. The dishes are served in beautiful Japanese ceramics.

Chef Keiji Matoba offers inspired creations, with dishes that awaken the senses. Of course, there is a wide selection of sushi, sashimi and maki, but Japanese gourmet cuisine goes far beyond that.

Wagyu beef, fish, seafood…all dishes are adorned with floral arrangements and are as good as they are to look at.
