Alza in Moravia invests in branches and acquires IT

The largest Czech online retailer Alza.cz expands its activities in Moravia and Silesia.

This year, it will invest millions of crowns in the development of the local branch network. As a result, a new showroom has already been created in the Brno showroom Xiaomi brand exposure and by the end of the year there will be about 20 new AlzaBoxes in the regions. In addition, the company in the east of the Czech Republic is also strengthening its personnel – it recruits to IT, shops and a new call center in Třinec and offers a program for graduates in Ostrava and the Trainee program.

Alza has been physically active in Moravia since 2008, when it opened its first branch outside Prague. Now it offers to its customers a total of 10 stone shops, 14 AlzaBoxes, own transport AlzaExpres and dozens of partner distribution points. It is the branch network – shop windows of the shop – every year the company invests considerable resources to ensure that the customer always carries the best shopping experience.

This vision accompanied Alza during the reconstruction of the AlzaShowroom in Brno, which now consists exclusively of design partner exhibitions. The new store concept includes premium brands such as Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Honor and last available space (approx.2) has now filled the brand shop-in-shop from the increasingly popular Xiaomi brand. In addition to the showroom, another Brno branch in Lískovec has been upgraded, where the warehouse space has been significantly increased by 100 m2. This increased the storage capacity and availability of goods. Moreover, stylish self-service has been added to all branches since March AlzaCafé bars, where customers can indulge while waiting for an order cup of tasty coffee absolutely free. And this year in Moravia and Silesia will grow as well 20 new AlzaBox dispensers.

Alza also expects dynamic development in Moravia and Silesia in the field of personnel. It wants to strengthen mainly its regional headquarters in Ostrava, where in addition to a modern showroom with a large warehouse also houses part of the IT department, purchasing and content editors.

“We are currently planning to expand our 12-person IT team, which is responsible for web administration, the Affiliate Program, software robots and other internal projects. We are now looking for ten more colleagues in the offices directly opposite the New Town Hall in Ostrava, for example for positions Senior developer, ”Says Marek Premus, HR Director of Alza.cz. "However, we are constantly recruiting into the branch network and recruitment to our newly opened call center in Třinec, where we have received 23 people since the beginning of February, continues," he adds.
