2015 seems to be all about smartwatches. At the Consumer Electronics Show and Mobile World Congress earlier this year, wrist wearables were one of the big topics. There was, for example, a very chic Android Wear Watch from Huawei, a completely self-sufficient wearable from LG or the intelligent timepiece from Lenovo with an e-ink display and long battery life.
And then Apple has only recently published more detailed information about the functionality of his watch and meanwhile also reveal what the gadget will cost and when it will be available.
So it was high time to update our large smartwatch overview. It now contains 32 wrist gadgets, so it offers a fairly good overview of the current wearable market. If we missed any devices worth mentioning, let us know in the comments. We will then expand the overview accordingly.

Sony Smartwatch 2
Sony is an old hand in the field of smart watches. The Smartwatch 2 is actually the company's third generation of smartwatches (after Live View and the first Sony Smartwatch). The Smartwatch 2 is still very popular – the main reasons for this are the now fairly humane price around 100 euros and a large app selection. Sony uses a modified Android as the operating system, the 1.6-inch display has a resolution of 220 × 176 pixels. The gadget connects to the cell phone via NFC and Bluetooth 3.0. As with most smartwatches, it is a companion device, but it works to a certain extent independently: some apps work even without a smart health connected smartphone.
