A picture just leaked on the net seems to support current rumors about a Pebble smartwatch with a color display. It is on the server of the Pebble homepage and was discovered there by 9To5Mac. The tech blog also got the suspicion about a design of the wearable with a colored screen rolling.

In addition to a slightly changed design with narrower hardware buttons than the predecessor, the likely image of the new Pebble shows a display that shows the colors black, white and yellow. Nothing should change in the battery life of the gadget compared to the monochrome version. The color pebble may use a similar technique like new screen panels for wearable devices from Japan Display. In a special “low power mode”, these do not represent the complete color range and are therefore more energy efficient than conventional colored screens.
In addition to the color display of innovations, Pebble's new smartwatch should have refurbished software and an integrated microphone on board. For the future, Pebble plans to launch 9To5Mac according to external sensors. Heart rate monitors and the like could then be attached directly to the body and their measured values transmitted to the smartwatch via Bluetooth.
The official presentation of the new Pebble should take place tomorrow, February 24th, at 4 p.m. On the homepage of the smart health watch counts down at this time.
