After Samsung lets the Gear S2 presented at the IFA work with Android devices from other manufacturers for the first time, this seems to be a logical step. So far, the company's smartwatches were only compatible with their own Samsung phones, while the Gear S2 can be used with Android phones from any manufacturer. However, a device with at least 1.5 GB of RAM and Android 4.4 or higher is required.
Samsung's Gear S2 was one of the smartwatch highlights at this year's IFA. While there is still no information from the manufacturer regarding price and availability, there are rumors of the appearance of the gadget in October. The Gear S2 in the standard version should cost 379 euros, the Gear S2 Classic based on classic watch designs 449 euros.
