
The luxury watch manufacturer TAG Heuer has presented an Android Wear smartwatch in cooperation with Google and Intel. At the end of the presentation of the 1350 euro gadget, CEO Jean-Claude Biver did not miss the opportunity to ring cowbells and cut cheese.
TAG Heuer has just presented an Android Wear smartwatch in a press conference also published via You-Tube Live Stream. The gadget will be available in the USA in a few hours, so far there is no information on availability in Europe. The company already has the price in our region published on his website: The smart health connected Watch costs 1350 euros.
For some viewers, however, the real highlight of the presentation may have been the finale: CEO Jean-Claude Biver played with cowbells and cut Swiss cheese. But the boss of the luxury watch company also had fun beforehand: for example, he couldn't get over the fact that TAG Heuer had “a computer in his watch” in his latest creation (from about 37.21 in the ehealth). Thanks to Jean-Claude Biver, the presentation of the gadget had such an unexpected entertainment factor, of which you can see in the recording of the presentation can make a good picture.

But as for the watch itself: what makes a 1350-euro smartwatch with Android Wear that is not technically better equipped than the competition? For example, the fact that the smartwatch can be exchanged for a "real" timepiece from TAG Heuer if you don't want to upgrade to the next generation after two years.
Apart from that, Jean-Claude Biver emphasized in the presentation the watch craftsmanship and innovation – as well as the noble materials such as titanium and sapphire glass, in which the wearable device is wrapped.

The 52 gram TAG-Heuer watch is to a certain degree protected against water and dust according to IP67 certification and is 12.8 millimeters thick. The drive is powered by a dual-core processor from Intel clocked at 1.6 GHz. There is 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. Further technical data of the Smartwatch are a microphone, a 360 × 360 pixel resolution 1.5 inch display, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi according to 802.11 b, g and n and a 410 mAh battery.
