
The Dot Watch is a smartwatch for the blind. The mechanical display of the wearable shows so-called Braille.
The Dot Watch, which according to the developers of the gadget is the "first Braille smartwatch", is used to feel information. The mechanical display is capable of displaying the so-called Braille or making it perceptible by means of various small, removable pins. The 12 millimeter thick wearable with aluminum case connects like conventional smartwatches via Bluetooth to the smartphone of the user, it is compatible with Android and iOS devices.

Any text can be sent from the smartphone to the Braille display, such as news, tweets or e-books. The price of the wearable device is said to be around $ 300, so far, however, interested parties can only be placed on a pre-or list. A precise time frame for the launch of the Dot Watch has not yet been communicated.
On the technical side, in addition to the unusual Braille display, there is also a 400 mAh battery, a gyroscope, an acceleration sensor and a touch sensor in a 42-millimeter housing. With the 22 millimeter wide bracelet, the buyer should be able to choose between plastic and leather.
