Ikea will soon launch a new range of smart health connected lighting products in Sweden. The Swedish company is preparing to cut prices in this market which remains one of the most popular of the Smart health home.

This new range of smart health connected objects, called “Trådfri”which means “wireless” in Swedish – will use a ZigBee gateway smart health connected to the internet via Ethernet, making it easy to create a local network to control the bulbs in the house.

Smart lighting at Ikea

Thanks to a mobile application, the user will be able to manage the brightness of his health home on site or remotely, and modify the intensity or the light tone.
So far, nothing new since it is already the promise that has been fulfilled (pretty good) the Philips Hue range.

But Ikea above all intends to distinguish itself in terms of price: the kit including 2 bulbs, the hub and a remote control will be offered at 749 crowns. about 79 $.
The gateway alone will cost $ 25 and $ 15 for the remote control. The additional bulbs will be sold for 20 $ per unit. Aggressive prices!

On the other hand, Ikea will also offer furniture with integrated LEDs, the light of which can also be controlled remotely. All of these new smart health connected objects are available.
